Used Fantuzzi FDC 25K8 Empty Container Handler – 2004
The Fantuzzi FDC 25K8 was built for one task: picking up empty containers and stacking them as high and as fast as the yard allows. This unit dates from 2004 and carries the high-visibility duplex mast, which lets the driver follow the container with his eyes all the way to the eighth tier without leaning out of the cab.
It lifts 9,000 kg under the spreader at a 1,200 mm load centre and stacks up to eight 8’6” ISO containers.
The engine is a Volvo TAD750VE direct-injection turbodiesel with intercooler, rated 238 hp at 1,800 rpm. The transmission is a Clark 32411 with power-shift, torque converter and inching, four speeds forward and four reverse, with an anti-reversal device and a dedicated heat exchanger for the transmission oil.
The hydraulic circuit has its own oil cooling system that holds the oil at a constant temperature. On a machine working continuous cycles this is the detail that extends component life and prevents oil weeping from seals that would otherwise run hot. Steering is driven by a large double-acting single cylinder with a Danfoss valve block.
On an empty container handler the right question is not how old it is, but whether you can keep it running. Here the answer is yes: the Volvo engine and Clark transmission are two of the most widespread assemblies in the sector, and parts can be sourced without depending on a single channel. That is why machines like this stay in service well past their twentieth year.
How much does the Fantuzzi FDC 25K8 lift?
9,000 kg under the spreader, at a 1,200 mm load centre.
How high does it stack?
Up to eight 8’6” ISO containers.
Which engine does it have?
A Volvo TAD750VE direct-injection turbodiesel with intercooler, 238 hp at 1,800 rpm.
How many working hours?
The hours on this unit are not declared. Contact us and we will confirm the current figure along with the documentation.
Can spare parts still be found for a 2004 machine?
Yes. We handle Fantuzzi parts, and the Volvo engine and Clark transmission are very common assemblies.
Can it handle loaded containers?
No. It is a dedicated empty container handler. Loaded boxes need a reachstacker or a forklift rated for the weight.
Can it be overhauled before delivery?
Yes, in our workshop. The scope is agreed together.
